Hi, Naj! It was this, plus an organized fan-campaign to get DVDs.... I was thinking of "consulting the oracle"... that is, to ask InsideR for advice on both. Let me do that through PM, and I'll report back.

GOOD NEWS! I've gotten a reply back from InsideR, and she's sure Kathryn would love it!! Now how should we go about promoting Kathryn to the folks over at SNL?? I think a postcard campaign would be more courteous to Lorne Michaels & Crew than a mass email campaign. Mass emailing is sooo "SPAMMY", in my opinion. Plus something like that might clog up their email account and work to our detriment. We don't want to disrupt an email account that might be important for their business use. Ideas, anyone??
InsideR also gave some direction on the DVDs too! I'll post more info on the DVD thread!

Hey boxman,
Do we have an address for SNL?

Do we have an address? Are we persuing this?
Naj, sorry, I didn't see your message earlier. I'm going to 'piggyback' this onto the DVD campaign, so people can simply add two more postcards to the list. (The two recipients being Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey, the show's head writer.) I'm hoping the DVD campaign will draw a lot of people to the website I'm setting up, and in this way, this SNL campaign will get all the attention that the DVD effort will get. If I understand correctly, this season is already over and the earliest anyone can appear on the show is September; so there's no need to rush on this at this time.

Oh great boxman,
Do you have a projected target date for the postcard mailing?
It would be good if people volunteered to get the word out across the net at various sites they belong too. Should we have a signup list for that too to get people actively involved?

It's looking like mid-June for all this. I'll PM you more later this evening or tommorrow. Enlisting people is a great idea! I was thinking that for the DVDs, we could have people make posts at fansites for the show's dozens of guest stars to let them know of our efforts. This could get our response very far beyond the fans of the regular cast.

Yes, I've got the info at www.ColdCaseDVDs.com! The site's up now, and the campaign has started!!
Awesome site
Thanks, KF! Did you see I added a link to KMO on there too??
We need all the help we can get right now to get this ball rolling. It's seems like Cold Case fans have been fragmented across the internet for so long, that now that it's time to come together for an important cause, people are a bit surprised! Certainly, making an effort to get DVDs and to publicize the show's main actor on SNL is worth it??
